Which Should You Buy?
The Ionic has a richer colored LCD display compared to monochrome LCD of Charge 4, it also has a more durable aluminum case with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covering the screen compared to resin and a hardened glass of Charge 4. Moreover, the Ionic comes with inbuilt music storage as well as features an onscreen workout coach which Charge 4 lacks. In other words, the Ionic is a more sophisticated and comprehensive smartwatch than Charge 4, but is that worth spending about $50 more? It’s up to you.
On the other hand, Charge 4 is a really nice device, very lightweight, features the new Active minutes that allow you to set a target heart rate, and has longer battery life.
Personally, I’ll go with the Charge 4.
