Garmin Venu vs Fitbit Versa 2: The Differences
The main difference between the Venu and Versa 2 is the presence of inbuilt GPS in Venu which the Versa 2 lack, but can still track outdoor activities by connecting to your phone GPS. On the other hand, Versa 2 has a microphone that enables Alexa voice assistant and allows you to perform simple tasks simply with your voice, the Venu lacks a microphone.
Beyond these main differences, you’ll also notice that the Venu has a slightly bigger case than Versa 2, it’s also thicker, and has a smaller 1.3 inches display compared to 1.4 inches of Versa 2, thanks to its square shape. I consider these two to be slim, lightweight, and compact when you compare with other smartwatches.
Another area where the Vesa 2 and Venu differ is number and nature of activity tracking features available on each smartwatch. For the avoidance of doubt, Fitbit and Garmin have some of the most sophisticated fitness tracking technologies, so it’ll be right to say in accordance with claims from users that these two are some of the most comprehensive and accurate fitness trackers you can buy. Any of these two will track your distance, complete sleep tracking, calories, continuous heart rate monitoring, onscreen workout, floors, stress, blood oxygen, menstrual cycle tracking, preloaded sport modes, and many more activity tracking features.
However, there are some activity tracking features available on Venu like incidental fall detection, swim-heart rate tracking, hydration tracking, and respiration tracking which Versa 2 lacks. I think it’ll be just to say that considering the more activity tracking features offered by Garmin on the Venu, its a more comprehensive activity tracker than Versa 2.
As per the battery life, these two allow you to go multi-days from a single charge, but then from experience, Versa 2 will last longer than Venu, but that’s just a slight increase. Anyways, as far as smartwatches are concerned any increase in battery life means a lot.
Which Should You Buy?
The Venu has inbuilt GPS and more activity tracking features, while Versa 2 has an inbuilt microphone and a slightly longer battery life, yet it’s about half the price of Venu. It’s up to you to decide which you want to buy. If the convenience that comes with inbuilt GPS means so much to you, then Venu is a better buy.
I personaly will go for Versa 2 considering that its one of the best fitness smartwatches with music storage, long battery life and voice assiftant feature.
