Samsung Galaxy Watch 46mm LTE vs Bluetooth: The Differences
- The difference between the LTE and Bluetooth model of the Galaxy Watch is simply the presence of an e-SIM in the LTE model that enables cellular connectivity which the Bluetooth model lacks. The LTE model is a standalone smartwatch and as such allows you to make and receive calls directly from the watch independent of your phone.
- However, with the Bluetooth model which is equipped with both loudspeaker and microphone, you can make and receive calls directly from the watch, but you must connect to your phone Bluetooth.
- In other aspects, the LTE model has a higher 1.5GB RAM compared to 0.75GB RAM of the Bluetooth model, but from my experience, there is no noticeable difference in performance.
- The battery capacity is the same 472mAh, but the battery life is longer on the Bluetooth model compared to the LTE model just as expected. So, while you can get up to 4 days long battery life with Bluetooth model, it’s about 2-3 days+ on the LTE model.
Which Should You Buy?
The LTE model of the Galaxy Watch is more expensive than the Bluetooth model, this is because its a more comprehensive smartwatch. Personally, I’ll go for the Bluetooth model which does about everything the LTE model does except for the minute conveniences the LTE model offers.
However, if you really like standalone smartwatches and don’t mind the additional cost, the LTE model is a better bargain.
